Indiana football’s busy June continued this weekend as 2026 in-state tight end Parker Elmore announced his commitment to Curt Cignetti and the Hoosiers.

Elmore’s decision came while on his official visit this weekend in Bloomington. The Columbus North High School standout made his pledge public on Sunday via social media.

Elmore, who received his offer from IU during his visit this weekend, chose the Hoosiers over offers from Kent State and Illinois State, along with interest from Michigan State, Wisconsin, Central Michigan, Miami (OH), Northern Illinois, Western Michigan, and Indiana State.

While Elmore has faced some adversity in his high school career — missing his sophomore year at Jennings County High School due to a knee injury, and sitting out his junior season after transferring to Columbus North — his talent and potential have remained clear to recruiters.

Indiana is bringing Elmore in as a tight end, a position where his 6-foot-5 and 225-pound frame could make him a key contributor at some point in his collegiate career.

Before making his official visit this weekend, Elmore had already been to Bloomington multiple times, including a spring practice in April and a camp last week.

Elmore’s commitment also continues the Hoosiers’ strong run on the recruiting trail this month. He becomes the latest in-state talent to join IU’s 2026 class, which is rapidly filling out as Cignetti looks to build a foundation for the future.

Now the 16th commitment in Indiana’s 2026 recruiting class, Elmore joins fellow 2026 tight end pledges Trevor Gibbs and PJ MacFarlane. Elmore also joins Center Grove offensive lineman CJ Scifres as a pair of prospects to announce their commitment to the Hoosiers following visits to Bloomington this weekend.
