(WHTM) – May 20 is National Pick Strawberries Day and strawberry season is almost here in Central Pennsylvania.
According to Penn State Extension, the most common strawberry grown in Pennsylvania bears fruit in June. Some local strawberry fields open beginning in May, giving those in Central Pennsylvania a place to get fresh fruit and a fun activity to do with friends and family.
