The motoring company is otherwise known as the masterminds behind the highly coveted, 457km/h Agera RS (pictured): the world's faster car currently in production
Test driver Niklas Lija managed to squeeze a staggering 457km/h out of the vehicle's 5.0 litre V8 engine while flooring it on a taped-off highway in the Las Vegas desert - a full 10km/h faster than the closest competitor in the automotive market
'Koenigsegg's arrival in Australia and New Zealand is long overdue,' the manufacturer declared.
'The company believes that the Oceania market... will fall in love with the exceptional engineering, outstanding craftsmanship and world-class innovation that's built in to every vehicle it delivers.'
The Agera RS is just one of those vehicles, but it happens to be the most popular.
And with good reason: the sleek, stylish supercar carries a $2.5 million price tag and boasts the title of being the fastest car currently in production.

'With the formal launch of Koenigsegg down-under in June 2018, we expect interest to gain rapid traction ahead of that car's debut at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show,' said the manufacturer.
