Rimac Automobili, the Croatian car manufacturer, has announced showing off the first production model of its Concept_One electric hypercar. The car will be displayed at Geneva Auto Show 2016 scheduled to be held during March 3-13.

The spec sheet of the all electric vehicle has been hard to believe during revelation of the Concept_One in 2011. The production model to be displayed in Geneva is the first of eight Concept_One cars scheduled to be sold to the public, reports Engadget.

The Rimac people have preferred to spend more on development and design rather than on branding and named their first production model as Concept_One. The design of this model is as worthy as an exclusive sports car category placed above regular supercars, according to a report published in Autoevolution.

Spec sheet of the Concept_One may appear as rival to those of McLaren P1 and Ferrari LaFerrari. A total of 800 kW (1088 hp) and 1,600 Nm (1,180 ft-lb) of torque are distributed among four permanent magnet oil cooled motors. The first electric hypercar is expected shooting silently to 100 kilometers-per-hour (KmPH)/ 62 miles-per-hour (MPH) in just 2.6 seconds, reports Gizmag.

The dash from 0 to 200 km/h (0-124 MPH) may be achieved in 6.2 seconds. This model deserves its hypercar designation since it is capable of accelerating from 0 to 300 KmPH (186 MPH) in just 14.2 seconds, while top speed is of 355 KmPH (220 MPH).

R-AWTV, the torque vectoring system also works as ABS, traction control, stability control and supports regenerative braking of up to 400 kW. The hydraulic braking system of the car operates with carbon-ceramic parts.

A whole new power-train and chassis have been built for the car to correctly distribute its weight into each wheel. Similarly, the cabin is stuffed with bespoke components specially built only for the Concept_One. The company has set a goal of producing as much of the car possible to develop in-house.

1,000 kW of power can be produced during acceleration from the battery pack of the vehicle. The battery pack is also capable of absorbing up to 400 kW in regenerative braking phase.

It also includes low resistance conductive system which works well in various temperature ranges. The battery comprises of 8,450 individually controlled cells and promises for long term performance.

Rimac has first unveiled prototype of its electric car in 2011. After five years, the Croatian auto manufacturer is going to introduce the first production model of the electric hypercar in Geneva Auto Show. Spec sheet of the Concept_One suggests that the car will be valued like an exclusive sports car.
